Venue Hire

Archer Park Rail Museum offers a unique experience for special events. Our venue may be hired for seminars, group functions, school and coach tours. Add nostalgia and romance to your Wedding Day by holding your ceremony, reception or wedding photos at Archer Park. In addition to the Foyer and Station Platform, the air-conditioned Refreshment Room can cater for 40 people at table settings, and up to 60 people in a seminar. Whilst Archer Park has hosted large events such as Balls and Weddings – up to 400 guests, as well as small gatherings, numbers for events will dependent upon any current Covid legislation. The bar area includes 2 bar fridges and the kitchen has stainless-steel serving areas (no cooking facilities). You can also hold Birthday or Christmas Celebrations during the day or evening, or a Child’s Birthday Party during open hours, particularly on a Sunday when the Tram is running.

The Refreshment Room has a restored piano, originally built in 1863 in England and restored by Terry Kirwan of Rockhampton in 2000. On the walls around the refreshment room are photos and stories of locals who were involved with Archer Park Station over the years. Platform/Foyer: Your event can be on the Platform to enjoy the atmosphere of the Carriage Shade, amongst the mannequins that tell the story of a bygone era and the train carriages.
